HHE Demolition-Rebuild Technician
Healthy Home Environmental Services has many departments. We perform emergency property restoration, asbestos services, disinfection, radon services, IAQ services, bio-hazard cleanup, and much more. Our demolition-rebuild technicians are the ones in the field. They directly work with mold, asbestos, and radon. They must be diligent and take safety seriously. They should be comfortable wearing full face respirators and full body protection.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Removing and Disposing of Asbestos Containing Materials
- Interior and Exterior Rebuild Following Asbestos Removal
- Removing and Disposing of Mold and Microbe Laden Materials
- Interior and Exterior Rebuild Following Mold Removal
- Removal and Restoration of Flood-Water-Damaged Material
- Removal and Restoration of Fire-and-Smoke-Damaged Material
- Building Radon Mitigation Units According to Specified Designs
- Applying Disinfectant to Prevent Spread of Illness
- Shaving on a Daily Basis to Allow for a Full Face Respirator
Qualifications:
- Physical Aptitude to Accomplishing Lifting and Removing Contaminated Debris Safely and Ergonomically
- Optional: Contractor's/Remodeling License
Education Requirements (HHE Offers Professional Development Opportunities in Obtaining Certifications):
- Optional: IICRC, NRPP, NRSB, or AHERA Certifications
Experience:
- Recommended: Knowledge in Building Science
- Recommended: Interior/Exterior Construction
- Recommended: Knowledge in Construction Code
